For nearly 20 years, my career has been dedicated to two lines of inquiry: understanding how people process information and what drives their decision-making behavior. As a cognitive psychologist and experimental researcher, I’ve spent my professional life in labs and classrooms dissecting the nuances of cognitive bias, decision-making under uncertainty, language processing, and mental models. I recognized an opportunity to apply my behavioral research expertise directly to digital product design. The people I studied in my research are the same users who navigate complex digital products every day.
I’ve translated 19+ years of research rigor in psychological science to the world of user experience, and I bring professional certification in UX design to complement my background. I am deeply experienced in cognitive load (deciphering user friction), methodological design (A/B testing and usability studies), dependent variables (Key Performance Indicators and success metrics), and synthesizing complex data (deriving actionable insights from large datasets).
In my current role, I’ve joined the team at SideKix, an AI-powered SaaS startup, where I contribute to product design and where UX research findings have directly influenced product decisions on pricing and layout. Bringing a behavioral science lens to product development, I help teams build products that don’t just look good aesthetically, but actually work with the grain of the human brain to enhance usability and accessibility. If you’re working on something that needs a deep dive into human behavior, let’s connect!
